The Duluth Heritage Sports Center will receive a $200,000 grant for an indoor football field from the Minnesota Vikings, the NFL Youth Football Fund, and Local Initiatives Support Corporation. The multi-use Duluth Heritage Sports Center will house the Boys and Girls Club Outreach Center and playing field for many youth sports. "The residents of Lincoln Park saw the Sports Heritage Center as an integral economic and recreational opportunity in their revitalization plan," Pam Kramer, executive director of Duluth Local Initiatives Support Corporation said. The grant is one of thirty-two grants to community groups for playing fields in 32 NFL markets totaling almost $5.5 million under the NFL Grassroots Program with LISC.
